How Social Media Marketing Fits in Your LNC Business

09/30/2020 by Pat Iyer

The Smart Approach to Social Media Marketing for Your LNC Business

Social Media Plan Pat IyerIt takes time and a plan to build your social media following. The key is to approach it with the idea that you do not want to spend endless hours trying to figure out what works.

Instead, use your time on social media to post worthwhile things while responding to comments in a timely matter. Plan ahead and stick to the plan.

Put the ‘Social’ Back in Your Social Media Plans

Do you want to save time during your workday?

Do you wish you had an extra 18 hours to accomplish everything on your to-do list?

Most people would answer, “Heck yes!” to those questions because an LCN’s to-do list is never really finished. Automating certain tasks, like social media, is one way to gain some time back in your day but that task still requires you to interact with your followers.

Social Media Marketing for LNC

Social Media Schedulers for Savvy LNCs

Social media schedulers, such as CoSchedule, is convenient and budget-friendly. Simply log in, to schedule which posts should publish on which platform, and hit the save button. Voila. Done. This is the platform I use and love.

Some platforms, like Missing Lettr are more powerful because they continue to share your evergreen social media posts into the future, thus saving you even more time from creating and scheduling. I use this to schedule my blog posts out for a year.

This all sounds wonderful and who doesn’t want to have more free time but do these platforms eliminate the ‘social’ from social media?

The answer to that is: only if you allow it.

Using schedulers is a wonderful thing and is a task that a savvy virtual assistant can take over. But you still need to be aware of what’s happening in your social media world. If followers are asking for your opinion, you need to be there in a timely fashion giving your opinion. If customers are asking specific questions, you need to be on the ball answering those questions. Also, be active in your social media world in terms of connecting with others online. Yes, it’s wonderful when people find you, but you should put in equal effort to connect with your audience. Passive marketing puts too much power into the hands of your ideal audience.

To do social media successfully, you need to:

Have a personal presence online instead of allowing a social media manager or third-party scheduler to be in charge.

  • Analyze your target audience and how to attract them to your message.
  • Setup and optimize each social media platform so it works for you.
  • Plan your content a month in advance.
  • Engage your followers so they’ll sing your praises.

The Take-away

Social Media marketing for your LNC business does not have to be overwhelming. Select the best social media platforms for you and focus on those. Keep your eye on comments and interactions and respond to them in a timely manner. Be social. Be consistent.
